Power Rankings:
1. Moon & Melissa - Moon & Melissa's team did nothing but make themselves appear more formidable over this episode. Reed appears to be taking a leadership role, Natalie is proving less annoying than her sister & very much a part of the team, and Julie is a solid competitor. Rocker seems to be every bit the jackass we expected him to be, but he managed to get himself an immunity idol so he's also exceeding expectations.
2. Michal & Ben - This episode also made our team look good. While choosing minorities, LGBT & elderly folks for the survivor pool is generally ill-advised this season seems to be an exception. The players who are drawing the most negative attention this time around are the young, straight, white folks. We'll see if that trend continues, but for now at least we're in a pretty comfortable position.
3. Daddy Issues - In this last episode we learned that Jon is an idiot & Baylor is sitting in a precarious position. No good news for Doug & Bri this episode except maybe that Dale's name didn't come up at all when discussing who to vote out. Hopefully Baylor will be able to solidify her place in her alliance - she needs more ins with the guys than just Josh - otherwise she could be in trouble.
4. The Buffoons - The Buffoons are living up to their name. They're doing push-ups to prove their manliness, cheering for the wrong team, and aggressively & fantastically stating that in the course of 6 days they've managed to acquire not just one but two immunity idols. The only surprise here is that it wasn't someone from this team who lost Blue Team's flint.
Douche of the Week:
My vote is for Drew because he cheered for the wrong gay man in the immunity challenge. After living together for 6 days you'd think he would remember the names of his tribemates!

Your first two analyses have been fantastic. Spot-on, deeper considerations of how the game will develop along with hilarious barbs at the Buffoons.
I also enjoyed Doug's commentary but fear he'll have little smack to talk this season.
I see the key characteristic of this game being the tribe dichotomy - as long as the tribes remain as is. To me, the blue tribe is much stronger and will dominate the challenges, so having their members is highly beneficial.

Last week's analysis of the teams seemed quite accurate based off last night's episode.
This was a great read on The Buffoons, "If they try to be their own masterminds, though, this team is in for an early exit." (Not so) gg Val. Why in the hell would you tell your tribe you have two idols?
Random thoughts:
Hopefully Jeremy will find the idol as easily as Rocker did.
Rocker may need his idol a little sooner than he thought based on preview antics of next week.
Missy is doing a good job with the social game early. She's probably just an empathetic person but as a 'senior' on Survivor it's important to develop those bonds right away.
Based on comments Jeff P made about watching Jon and Jaclyn's relationship on Survivor I have a feeling the dreg is going to last at least several more weeks. Here's an excerpt, " But their time on Survivor won't exactly be a fairytale, Probst cautions. "They're young and loving," Probst describes. "But what's interesting is watching their relationship play out. They're a couple and they love each other, but this game is hard. And, give people enough time together on Survivor, they will argue, no matter how much you love each other. There's an honesty to watching their relationship that I don't recall us ever doing before." This suggests that Jon and Jaclyn are probably on the same tribe at some point.

Also slightly worrisome was what Jeff said about Josh and Reed in that same article, "They know what they're doing in the game and I think people are going to enjoy them and - at least out of the gate - root for them." Maybe not worrisome but it does sound like they may end up being villains.
Now that Dale seems out of imminent danger I'm wondering if he's going to use the necklace he found as a fake immunity idol. Haven't had one of those in awhile...
People I think might be the quitter (in no particular order):
-Wes because the season preview edit seemed to suggest it was him by showing him crying right after Jeff announces someone is quitting the game. This could also be an argument that it's NOT Wes because why spoil it in the preview. Addition: When I was cutting and pasting the excerpt about Jon and Jaclyn I noticed that in the article Jeff only talks about Keith when asked about Wes/Keith. Maybe that means he doesn't even want to acknowledge that Wes was on the show or maybe it means nothing and the magazine edited his comments to fit a certain length?
-Jon because of the strange mention of his Dad's brain tumor on episode 1.
-Rocker because he's a hothead and it sounds like things go sour next episode and Julie says she feels betrayed.

Daddy Issues - This team is still the most unknown to me but they have a lot of upside.
Moon and Melissa
I think Rocker or Wes are the most likely to quit so I'm ranking this team lower than Daddy Issues.

The Buffoons - This may go down as the best team name in the history of the pool.
Drew is incredibly douchey and will probably garner my vote most weeks until his unceremonious departure but this week I was more incensed by Val's horrific Survivor acumen and will be throwing my DoW vote her way. TWO idols??
The last part of Ben's analysis had me giggling for 5 minutes, so thanks for that!
I know I'm not in this pool, but since I did attend the Draft Dinner (unlike some people in the pool)I feel like an honorary member...and therefore will vote for DOW: Drew for sure. Val was an idiot, but in my understanding of the word "Douchebag" stupidity is not really the defining attribute.
First, I can't think of a single situation where I would not be able to talk smack, so Thomas, strap in, cause even if all 4 of Daddy Issues players are eliminated or quit next week, I will find a way. ;)
My DoW vote is going to land on Val. Drew was an idiot (I see a theme here), but the stubbornness that Val showcased after her ridiculous lie, despite Rocker being willing to work with her, ultimately led to her demise. AND, now she has possibly screwed up Rocker's allegiances, which could potentially cause problems for Jeremy down the road. She lit a small branch of the Rocker tinder pile and we'll all have to wait and see what ignites the rest. My guess is it will be a scorned Jeremy.
Other commentary:
Our team was happily surprised by Kelley's performance in this episode. She really proved herself against a fairly daunting dreg. We are very happy with Kelley as our 3rd pick. Another good thing for Daddy Issues is Dale's name not being brought up. Hopefully he has dug in tight and can make it to the merge.
We were disappointed that Baylor received so many votes at tribal. That is very worrisome. Maybe now that it is clear that Jaclyn doesn't have an idol, Baylor will be safe for another Orange tribal.
All is not right on the Orange team though. Val's plan to throw her and Jaclyn's vote to Baylor should have worked and Baylor should have been sent home on the losing end of a 5-3 vote. 4 player's votes were not shown. We have to assume Jaclyn originally voted for Baylor, so that leaves Alec, Dale, or Josh being the one who switched from Baylor to Val for the preliminary vote. Something didn't go as planned and I'm very curious what. I hope someone brings this up and the flip-flopper is revealed next episode. There will be some shake out because of this vote for sure.

432For what it is worth, I'm going with Rocker for the DoW award. "I lost to a girl"? When it was his own "partner"? Seems like his jerk status is well deserved.
Doug, I'm thinking it was Josh who switched his vote to Val after seeing Rocker & Val walk off together to scheme. I certainly hope they tell us for sure, but for now that's what I'm going to believe. :)
That seems to be a theme with Josh. If I had to guess, I would have guessed Josh too. He seems to be playing his own game when it comes to tribal votes. Should be interesting to see how that plays out for him.
He escaped week one's vote change against Baylor fairly easily. Can he talk his way out of this one too? I don't think he will be able to keep this up for much longer without someone seriously calling him out. If it was even him who switched...
