After watching the last episode, I'm starting to think that the players we all thought were strong may have been overrated. Some of them just hadn't been given the airtime to speak yet & thus prove their worthlessness. So I think the pool is still very much up in the air. Only time will tell us which of these teams proves themselves to be the least incompetent.

Power Rankings:
1. Bagdrea: They're off to an early lead & have a bunch of the Beauty tribe which currently looks way stronger than either of the other tribes. It probably won't be long before they mix up the tribes, but Bagdrea should be able to build up a nice lead in the meantime. And Caleb & Tai look to be strong enough payers to adapt & thrive when the mix up does happen.
2. Michal & Ben: I'm edging us out ahead of MoonBee because I really like the Peter/Debbie combo we have going. Peter sees the value in keeping a loon like Debbie around & I see that benefiting both of these players in the long run. Anna is still an unknown, and I'm still not sure if Kyle Jason goes by Kyle or Jason... either way he's pretty obnoxious but at least he seems smart and adaptable.
3.MoonBee: Neal & Julia both look solid, though it's too early to say that with a lot of confidence. I don't think Scot has a very log shelf life... his tribe is a mess & guys his size usually don't last long on the rations & in the conditions that Survivor offers. Aubry was pretty much a ghost this episode but I think she'll turn out to be a massive bargain as the 2nd-to-last person picked. Her season premiere meltdown was reminiscent of Mike's dreg draft. I din't think she has anywhere close to the point potetial of Mike, but I do think she'll be a nice asset for this team in the dreg position.
4. Doug & Bri: Well, it turns out that Jenny is really quite erratic... or else that bug did far more damage than we thought! I've never seen someone so effectively kick themselves out of the game before. J'Tia threw her tribe's whole food supply in the fire & they kept her around. We've had a couple players in the past ask for their tribe to vote them out, which is a plea that is usually ignored. Jenny found the perfect thing to say to completely change a tribal council vote - something future would-be quitters should keep in mind. It's really too bad for Doug & Bri because this was my favorite team before Jenny's self-destruction. Liz now looks like she's on thinner ice than she deserves to be thanks to Crusty Joe & Loony Debbie. And Cydney & Michele are a strong supporting cast, but won't be enough to get this team a win this season.
Douche of the Week:
Gotta go with Vytas... okay, maybe Kyle Jason instead.

Jenny for DoW - love the thought that the earbug ate the rational part of her brain. More detailed comments to follow at some point soon.
Good analysis Pickett. Glad to see your priorities are still in order, and impressed with your efforts this week!
Jenny DoW - what a meltdown!
Although I don't have much of a feel for this season yet and agree with your note that the pool is wide open, I would agree with your power rankings top to bottom. As Bag just mentioned to me in a text, Caleb & Tai could be a "power odd couple" that could potentially go the distance, giving Bagdrea a dangerous team. Peter/Debbie actually could do the same for the Greenbergs. Peter really caught my attention with how quickly he identified Debbie as an asset, a usable coattail-rider. That's a mindset we've seen exhibited by Boston Rob, Parvati, Jeremy and many other champs. Also agree on our team and that DouBri might have had the best squad if not for Jenny's mental collapse at Tribal.
Overall I think this will be a middle-of-the-road sort of season with some higher-level players emerging later in the game. Right now we've only seen the Brawn tribe try to figure things out, and I don't think any geniuses reside there. I think the potential master strategists include Caleb, Peter, Neal and Elisabeth while Tai, Julia and Cydney could go deep on scrappiness.
I agree with the current rankings and the DOW (Jenny). Can we get the bug that ate part of her skull on our team? At least as a mini-mascot?
Team name for us; Team "She-Ra" since we have all the ladies, and we are hoping some of them end up being powerful. May change it over the next couple episodes, but at least we have our submission in so we don't lose any more points. (Thanks, but no thanks, Jenny!)
Jenny for DOW. That was a painful meltdown to watch. I thought Alecia did a great job of not over-reacting to the lies. Her lack of defensiveness coupled with Jenny's extreme emotion made it trivial to tell who was telling the truth and who was lying. I agree with Moon's assessment of where things stand as well as the outlook for the season.
Our team name: Beautiful Mind
As everyone has said, it's still really early but looking back at our draft I think I see a couple of value picks. M&M getting Aubrey in the dreg round could be huge. I also think Peter may prove to be more valuable than a third round pick which is where M&B were able to pick him up.
Even though I think Tai appears to be in danger if Beauty loses, not that they seem likely to, I also have a feeling he is going to get far. Maybe it's the edit or his early find of the idol but he may make a deep run. I also think he'll figure out a way to get the idol next week.
When and who are the medivacs going to be? How many people will it be? With the tough conditions of this season receiving so much preview hype I wonder if it will be a determining factor in which of our fantasy teams wins or will it prove to be overblown marketing and be a (mostly) non issue?
I think Liz had a drop in her stock price after last episode. Not a huge drop but she seems to be rattled early on and that says something about her durability.
