Episode 13 - Another one bites the dust

The last alliance has now officially imploded. Everyone is playing their own individual game now. Even with Mike still being a target. Carolyn and Dan both played the last "advantages" that were left. I'm guessing there are no more hidden immunity idols. Safety can only be found in immunity challenge wins.

With Dan out, Jennicide has to sit idly by and watch a potential pool winner pass them. There should be enough points for this to happen. Jury points alone are up to 16, 17, 18 (if a final 2), so LOAP and Maximillion, each with 2 players left, should pass Jennicide (as long as no negative points are applied).

The 2-horse pool race most likely won't be close either. I can't see a situation that either Mike or Carolyn don't make the final. And either should win over any of the other 3. The only way Will and Sierra might earn challenge points is if someone else "shares" with them. Rodney's only points will most likely be DoW points. And Jacked for a Reason is too far behind for a lucky Rodney win to matter.

A final race between Mike and Carolyn should be great to watch. I don't know who will pull it off and I hope they both make the final. I'd like to see their arguments to the jury. The pool winner seems much more clear. Quite the comeback for Maximillion with the 7th and 14th picks of the draft!

      3. Jennicide

      Douche of the Week:

Rodney again. He's still bitching about not getting

rewards instead of just trying to win a reward.

Big thanks to Doug for jinxing Maximillion.

I can't imagine you're being serious when you say "I can't see a situation that either Mike or Carolyn don't make the final." I would argue this is actually the most likely result. Rodney, Sierra and Will are not outstanding players but they have continually made correct voting decisions so we should assume they will continue to do so. Which means they will vote out Mike/Carolyn (whichever doesn't win immunity, or Mike if neither does) next, then vote the other out if he/she doesn't win immunity with four left...giving us a final three of Rodney, Sierra and Will and a likely victory for Prayer.

      Rodney default DoW.

Mike and Carolyn can't both win immunity with 5 left so one of them will busto. The remaining Maximus gladiator will have the best shot at winning immunity with four left and hopefully will do so, carrying Maximillion into Final Tribal and to victory. Praetorian!

It would be a sad day if someone other than Mike or Carolyn wins.

The thought that Living on a Prayer has a shot makes me throw up in my mouth or maybe that's the ribs we had for dinner. Pathetic.

You might think it's difficult to think of something more pathetic than Prayer winning but it isn't. For me, Jennicide's miserable fail in the draft has cast a pallor over this season. Carolyn/Jenn was the obvious combo but I encouraged us to take Shirin. Missing a gift wrapped Mike hurts too but every team is kicking themselves on that one.

I've saved the most pathetic for last and it's

The wretch, concentred all in self,
      Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust, from whence he sprung,
      Unwept, unhonored, and unsung.

Dan for DoW. Is he the douchiest to ever play?

Special thanks to Sir Walter Scott and Groundhog Day.

Thomas. I will agree that the play that you (and Snaders via text) describe above is the best play for Will, Sierra, and Rodney. My issue is with the execution. So much so that Snaders and I have an official side bet. Even odds. Mike OR Carolyn make the final 3 - I win a marg from Cantina Laredo on Thursday. One of them doesn't make the final 3 - Snaders collects said marg from me.

I'll offer the same to you if you really think a Will, Sierra, and Rodney final three is most likely.

I'm completely on board that whoever (Mike or Carolyn) doesn't win the next immunity is most likely out. It's the next part that I have trouble with. I don't see the remaining player losing the final 4 immunity challenge. And even if one of the others does pull out a lucky win, I see the remaining Mike or Carolyn talking their way out of elimination in favor of someone else.

Want in on a marg bet?

Or maybe Ben wants to offer the same betting terms to you?

I'll drink two margs, but I'm good about spreading the wealth a little too.

I won't bet with Moon until he pays up on the last bet he lost to me.

OK Doug, you're on for a marg.

What was the last bet, Wolf? I apologize, I'm forgetful.

I don't know what GraveWolf's problem with our team is - we drafted auspiciously. We took Joe #1 overall which was the obvious choice. When it came back to us we were living on a prayer for Carolyn and were devastated when the Sanderses took her after a two-minute tank. We then took Kelly, the best overall member of the Blue Collar tribe. She might well have won it if not for a really tough beat when Jenn played her idol. We finished up selecting Will and Sierra, who have done exactly what we hoped they would when we selected them - lingered.

You're right Moon - you guys did a fine job on the draft. I think it must be your team name that tilts me.

Rodney for DoW. I think it's about 60/40 for Carolyn/Mike to win vs field. Which basically comes down to 60% that Carolyn/Mike (whoever remains with 4 left) wins immunity at that point.
